Our work is weather dependant as we are not able to operate in rain or high winds. The decision whether to fly or not is the sole responsibility of the pilot in command and The Vertical Picture Company (VPC) will not be persuaded to break any rules regarding this. We are also bound by the restrictions placed upon us under our CAA permission and the terms of our insurance to fly only if the flight can safely be made. Thank you for your understanding.
All media is handed over to the client on completion of a project, including copyright. However, unless requested otherwise, The Vertical Picture Company reserves the right to use any captured material for it's own marketing purposes.
We operate with public liability insurance of £1m, £2m or £5m as appropriate to the operation and the needs of the client.
Once fully briefed by the client we will submit a written quotation detailing the service to be provided together with costings and chargeable expenses. For shoots within 20 miles of Eastbourne no mileage expenses will be charged.
Deposit and Payment:
We generally require a deposit of 25% of the total quotation prior to the commencement of any work, with the balance to be paid within 14 days after receipt of the product.
We understand that things can change and are therefore as flexible as possible with our clients.
If a flight is cancelled by either party due to unforeseen circumstances (including adverse weather conditions) then it will be rescheduled with the client and the deposit carried across. If the flight cannot be rescheduled because, for example, it is for a specific occasion, then the client shall detail this in the brief. The quotation shall identify any expenses payable by the client to VPC in such an event.
If the project is cancelled by the client more than 14 days from the first flying day, then 50% of the deposit fee will be refunded.
If the project is cancelled by the client within 14 days of the first flying day, then the deposit fee will not be refunded.
Any changes made by the client to the original brief, following the submission of a quotation, may incur additional charges.
Pilot in Command:
Please bear in mind that the pilot in command has full responsibility for the safety of himself, those around him and the general public. There may be unpredictable factors that mean it's unsafe to continue with a flight and it may have to be cancelled. Any decision made by the pilot in command in relation to flight safety is final.
